Our most comfortable PFD for the kayaker, this coast guard-approved PFD is designed specifically for the high-back seats found on most recreational kayaks. It will allow the freedom of movement you need to paddle comfortably.
Because most PFDs aren't very comfortable to wear while seated, people tend to use them as seats or strap them onto the deck of their boat. The Comfort Back PFD is so comfortable you'll want to keep it on while sitting in your kayak seat. You'll barely feel the thin foam between your back and the seat. Shell and liner is now made from recycled fabric.
- 200D recycled nylon inner lining.
- Flotation provided by lightweight polyethylene foam.
- Shell is made from 600D recycled polyester.
- Lash tab on the rear left shoulder allows the mounting of a strobe or other accessories.
- Two open-top pockets, perfect for stashing paddling gloves.
- Eight adjustment straps provide a customized fit.
- Reflective accents provide increased visibility.
- Thin foam insert on back won't feel bulky against high-back kayak seats.
- US Coast Guard-approved Type III PFD.
- Cross-chest cinch strap prevents the vest from riding up.
- Two zip-closure pockets for storage.

Well built but barely qualifies as a PFD
PFD - yes; lifejacket - no. Had some extra Bean Bucks, it was on sale, so was curious to see if this design has improved over they years. It has not. Despite their popularity, the continued big problem with this design, is under the right conditions they slip off shockingly easy no matter how well you properly cinch all the straps.

I like the quality and full back pad, which seems harder to find. Unfortunately this was just too big and bulky of a fit and returned. Going off size chart purchased L/XL for 41inch chest. Huge. Also, zipper a bit difficult to get started plus no real pockets.
