BOA knob breaks.
Theses are great snowshoes and the BOA binding made them easy to put on and take off. However, the knob has broken on two of our snowshoes - one shoe in each of two pairs. We bought these in 2017 and when one of the first pair broke it was early enough that we were given a replacement pair. But now the policy has changed so we probably can't get the other one replaced.
Details:
After a couple years of occasional use the BOA tightening assembly broke out of the binding while unlocking it. It was still usable by pressing and holding it in place while tightening.
After another year or so the center part of the knob separated from the mechanism rending it completely useless.
Conclusion:
There are similar models with normal bindings that are probably a better choice for long lasting snowshoes.

Plastic frame straps don't hold up
Hey LL Bean, after maybe 10 outings two of the plastic frame straps are already broken! Went out on groomed trails and on fields near my house. I just missed the 1 year warranty by a couple of weeks. They're otherwise good snowshoes. Any suggestions?

Didn't expect the heel strap.
I bought the Women's version for my wife and she likes them a lot. The BOA system makes putting on and taking off quite a bit easier than her last pair. The men's has a separate heel strap that I didn't expect. I'm not as agile as I once was and find the heel strap difficult to set and release. Additionally there are small clips to tuck the excess strap in but they are not placed well for my boots size making them difficult if not impossible to use.

Cheap and Fragile
After half a season (maybe six or seven hikes), half of the plastic grommets had broken. This is the opposite of what LL Bean's quality used to be.

Great snowshoes. My only issue is the back strap isn't long enough to reach the second plastic piece that keeps the strap from flapping around.
