What is Euro nymphing? It's a versatile and extremely effective style of fishing that involves using a long leader and weighted flies to reach depth quickly. The leader includes a brightly colored sighter section that acts as an indicator. During the drift, you raise the rod tip so the sighter is visible. This makes for a well-connected, controlled drift.

The Most Versatile Trout Rod I Own
Casts and fishes a Euro nymph leader/mono rig as designed.
Casts a 3 weight double taper "peach" line out to 40' with ease for dry flies.
Casts a 12' 150 grain Skagit head with 7.5' sink tips out to 60' with little effort for bulky streamers.
The versatility of the rod allows you to adapt to the conditions on the water. This rod has a soft, sensitive tip for contact nymphing, yet still has enough power in the lower section to turn a 20" rainbow. This 10" 6" 3 weight is a bit stout for small-stream native brook trout, but hatchery rainbows and browns feel like steelhead.
It balances well with the Double L Large Arbor #1. Would probably be fine with the #2 also.

Love it
I just bought it so I haven't used it yet except in the back yard but this rod is all I expected and more. It looks and feels great. It's light weight and balanced. It weighs in at 3.36 oz. on my fairly accurate electronic scale, That's impressive for a 10' 6" rod. I can hardly wait till Spring.

Would buy in a second. No 2 piece?
You will be blown away by how accurately your roll cast will place a dry, as well as sinking, shooting tips. Unfortunately, Manufacturers in the Fly Rod world made a decision. We only make 4 piece rods. Unfortunately manufacturer elites believe one must get on a plane/train to get to a river. I personally ATV with a 2 piece 13 foot rod. 6 years no issue. Why oh why do companies not offer a 2 piece option?

Wonderful European nymphing rod !
This rod delivers. It is easy to cast and excellent fighting and landing fish. My guide, former USA fly fishing team member, could not say enough about the rod. Saying it is comparable to a much more expensive euro rods
