Good higher-waisted cool weather bottom base layer
Purchased as cool-cold weather base layer, have not worn them yet. Petite is a good fit under hiking pants and dress trousers. Higher waist stays in place (lower rise pants would slide down my straight hips), shorter leg length reaches to top of my foot, and I intend to wear with merino wool hiking or compression socks. I will likely bump up my rating from 4 stars to 5 stars after a half-day trial wearing period working in the garden or a short climbing hike if they stay in place under hiking/cargo pants.
I am 5'3" and 160 pounds; size L in petite is perfect for me. I would not wear these without outer pants unless also wearing a long tunic. Merino wool is not scratchy to me. I will hand wash in a specialty wool-safe detergent. Bought Navy and Black.

Cresta mid weight 250
I love this base layer, it is perfect under my Cresta hiking pants in 10° to 20° weather while walking or hiking, and I am almost always cold, so this base layer is perfect!

Soft, comfortable,not bulky. Great base layer for cold days. Definitely would recommend to a friend. Purchased size small. Fits well under leggings. 5’8” 125 lbs Live in Michigan. Not my first LLBean purchase. Used for snow shoveling and generally staying warm while lowering inside temperature.3

Need to be available in longer lengths
Good product but needs to be longer. I wish these had longer lengths like the men’s sizes. I am 5-10 and they ride up my calves all day. I love the color and material though, my only complaint is the inequity in lengths between men’s and women’s
