Odd sizing and cuffs
Pros: warm, windproof, abrasion resistant
Cons: very long in the fingers, the cuffs are too narrow to go over the ends of my sleeves. Not a good winter recreation mitten. Good for dog walking, hauling fire wood. Were it not for the sizing and cuffs issue, these could be a 5 star

Waxed mittens
My husband loves these for doing outdoor chores. Shoveling the snow, snow blowing, carrying wood from the wood shed. The mittens are waterproof and keep the wetness out for a much warmer feeling on his hands and fingertips. I would recommend as we have had a good old fashioned cold winter and lots of snow in NYS this year.

Nice Warm Fingers
Got these great two-part mittens to keep my hands/fingers/ thumbs warm. Unlike gloves, mittens tend to keep your fingers & thumbs nice and warm and these really do the trick. We’ve had some very cold days so far this Winter and they have kept me warm & dry while I shovel or run the snow blower. I give them a genuine “two thumbs up” and a good ed#!dd

Excellent Adult Mittens! Keeps you warm
Bought these to replace an old pair of a different brand. I started using mittens when birding in sub freezing temperatures as my fingers would often still get cold especially when handling the optics. Also, I can easily throw a Hot Hands inside to keep it warm when I need to take one off to take photos. Highly recommend if you’ll be out in the cold and wind for any length of time.

Amazing Mitts; particularly for the price
I spend approximately 10 hours a week coaching a high school downhill ski team in Minnesota. I purchased these mittens to cover below zero days, which we often see in mid-January through the end of our HS season in March. I didn't have high hopes for the warmth and durability but was happily surprised by both after wearing the mittens a few times. I have NEVER had cold fingers (or thumb) wearing these even when the temps begin to dip down into the double negative digits. I've worn the gloves almost exclusively as my main pair of hand warmers for two seasons now and continue to go back to them when trying something different.
The waxed canvas is waterproof enough to keep Midwest snow and sleet out. Even if it did penetrate, the wool liners are warm enough and thick enough to keep your hands warm. The leather has held up wonderfully and has even tackled a couple nights worth of tow ropes with little to no indication that the misery of a tow rope has even been encountered.
The wool inserts do have a tendency to pile up and are a little on the large side but that is such a minor drawback that I even hesitate to mention it. Unfortunately I've misplaced my mittens and tried to replace them with much more expensive versions that just dont work as well as these did. I'll 100% be buying another pair to keep me warm and toasty throughout the winter.

Misleading Materials
The product description says that the inner glove is wool.
But, I just received the gloves. Looking at the wool glove's tag, it says the exterior of the glove is 100% wool and the lining is 80% wool & 20% nylon.

Good Mittens!
These are very good. The shell is great for having to do rough work, like carrying firewood or shoveling snow. I found the openings a bit small but I was able to get my hands inside. Once I got them on my hands, the fit was very good. Other than that, I have no complaints.
