There's nothing like the supple, easy-to-load, full-flex feel of a fiberglass fly rod. The first time you connect with a big fish on one and feel it all the way down into the cork grip, you'll be hooked. That easy loading ability also makes it perfect for short casts in tight quarters on small streams. If you love technical fishing with small flies, the soft flex will protect 6X and even 7X tippet while absorbing strong runs from beefy fish. Finally, it's a great action for learning how to cast.

Outstanding rod & value
I've wanted to try a fiberglass rod for sometime, and the price of this one was hard to resist. Honestly it's become my go-to, punching way above any other rods I have of the same weight (4wt).
It's a superb delicate, short casting small stream rod, but the slow, deliberate action can honestly produce a workable long cast if needed. Pair with a decent click & pawl to experience what fly fishing should really be like :)

Fantastic...takes me back to younger days when I first started fly fishing with a nice Cortland fiberglass fly rod. This rod is way better...it's a beauty!!!

First glass rod - great for small streams
Had some LL bean gift cards and decided to put them towards a 3wt dedicated creek setup to be used in Colorado's front range. Paired with a royal wulff triangle taper plus (half weight heavy). Action is medium approaching medium fast, with good but not great feedback while casting. Stiffer than I would expect from a glass rod, but helpful when throwing weighted nymphs - handles a couple of tung heads well enough. Dry presentation, even with larger terrestrials, punches well above weight for the price of this rod. Great for tightlining while contending with cramped brush. Would recommend if you're looking for a budget creek workhorse with old school feel and are willing to sacrifice some fit and finish/don't mind cheap cork.

Please first time glass rod user
Disclaimer. This is my first glass rod, and I am only about 2 years into fly fishing. With that being said, I absolutely love this rod for the price. I bought it as a nice packing rod for smaller mountain streams in Western NJ and the Pennsylvania and bushwhacking the somewhat unkept streamsides of Southern Minnesota. Really I just got it because I wanted to try it. Theres a bit of a learning curve to get a hold of the action, though I attribute this to my armature technique as well as being new to glass. With that, I love the action. Great at presenting dry flies, long enough to get a decent cast out there, and strong enough to pitch nymphs under a dropper as well. Love the style. A blue version also exists. I look forward to getting to know this rod more, but so far, love it.
