Rated 5 out of 5 by from So Far So Good I ordered this rod for a bucket list fishing trip to the Madison River in Montana. The rod performed very well, possibly making me a better caster than I really am. On that basis, I rate it highly. The true test for the rod will be how well it holds up over time. Having owned it for less than a month makes it impossible to give a proper review. I do intend to use it as often as possible, starting next week at Grand Lake Stream. Wish me luck!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good rod for the money When the rod arrived I put on a reel and walked down the street and caught a five pound bass on the third cast. Guess I’ll keep it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I’ll Gladly Spend More for a Better Rod This rod was priority shipped to me in Hayward, WI after my 24 year old “Double L” two piece 4 wt rod suddenly broke at the male ferrule after landing and releasing a 12” brook trout. Nothing lasts forever. This “made in China” fly rod, while adequate, pales in comparison to the Double L rods that were made by Gary Loomis for Bean. The action is stiffer, the cork grip has much more filler that will eventually break down and fall out and there are many blemishes on the surface finish. A good rod? Yes. A replacement for a great rod? No.
