What is Euro nymphing? It's a versatile and extremely effective style of fishing that involves using a long leader and weighted flies to reach depth quickly. The leader includes a brightly colored sighter section that acts as an indicator. During the drift, you raise the rod tip so the sighter is visible. This makes for a well-connected, controlled drift.

My first Euro Rod ... But I like it.
I think this is the Euro rod for me. I matched it with a Maxcatch Semi-Automatic Fly Reel. It balances on the cork ... but a more foreward than I would like. I've used it once this winter so far for nymphing, and liked it very much. Didn't catch anything ... but fishing is difficult in an urban trout stream here in Iowa ... especially after a fish kill. It bends and flexes just the way I think it should. It is made in China ... I think ... but I would highly recommend it.

First euro rod
Works great for an inexperienced euro angler. I mostly dry fly fish, but wanted to give euro a try. I’m sure someone with more experience might see some faults. I’ve used it with a euro and dry fly set up and it works great. Casts dries fine compared to other llbean rod. Very sensitive tip. I’ve caught 6-16 inch trout with this rod. Manages the larger fish great, and really enjoy it. Wish it had a second nut for the reel otherwise I’m happy.

Good starter rod
I learned how to euro nymph on this rod and had it 8 months. I finally upgraded to a CTS bland handed this down to my son now he is learning how too. I great starter rod to see if you like Euronymphing

Almost great
I bought this rod to give tight line nymphing a try. It’s a decent rod for the money and performed well enough to get me hooked on the technique. It really needs a second lock nut on the reel seat. The single nut is useless. I have resorted to using tape. I will be passing this rod on to someone else and build my own. Add another lock nut and upgrade the cork and it is a five star rod for the money

excellent
I wanted to try my hand at Euro Nymping and was looking for a 10'6" 3wt. The Streamlight fit the bill perfectly. Loved the feel and action of the rod. Took it out at every opportunity for over a month, including 10 degree snow days. On one exceptionally cold day a large trout snapped off the tip of the rod. LL Bean had a replacement tip to me within a week at no cost no questions. Love the rod and love LLB.

Awsome
I recently received my 10'6 3weight .I love this rod light weight good backbone sensitive tip . It is perfectly balanced with my hydros reel on it . It handles fish well yet is remarkably sensitive. Lining up the 4 peices is a snap with clear alinement marking .would highly recommend this rod. Just wish the blank came in a Matt finish instead of the gloss . Rod also handles close in dry fly fishing well. Would probably Handel better if it had regular weight forward line instead of euro nymphing line .
