Down and Sherpa: perfect combo!
Jacket is very comfortable, and the fit was as advertised. I bought the jacket in August, so can’t really comment on warmth. But with a combo of down and Sherpa lining, I’m sure it is.

Great winter coat
I receive the coat yesterday and tried it on. It was extremely warm. I live west of Chicago and in the winter we have extreme weather. I believe the coat is as advertised. I purchased a medium and it fit fine. I,m 5 foot 6 inches about 148 pounds.

Here's my review and test
I bought this coat looking for a mid-weight cold-weather coat with sherpa lining, down fill and an attached hood. This one checked all the boxes, so here is my review:
PROS:
-DownTek (read up on it…great stuff!)
-Premium materials throughout
-Flawless assembly workmanship
-Comfortable lined outer pockets
-Outer vest pocket suitable for phones
-Water resistant shell and a fine wind break
-Warm (See test results below)
-I like the adobe!
CONS:
-Needs an inside pocket (come on, this is a $200 coat!!!)
-Cuffs are made of same material as the shell. A bit rough. Why not soft knit?
-Value is questionable at this price point.
Test #1: 35 degrees F, no wind, sunny, 1.5 Mile dog walk. Wearing only short sleeve t-shirt under the coat, I had to unzip the jacket and drop the hood to release heat build-up.
Test #2: 26 degrees F. windy, sunny, same dog same walk. Wearing only short sleeve t-shirt under the coat. Stayed warm and appreciated the windbreak. Windchill was in the teens.
Test #3: 22 degrees F. Light winds, sunny, same dog same walk. This was the point where the coat became uncomfortable wearing just a short sleeve t-shirt under the coat. Arms were cold (no Sherpa there), I could feel cold seeping in. I added a thin fleece long-sleeve shirt and was warm once again. I think the layer bought another 5 degrees of outside temperature. Clearly, layering (maybe some wool) will improve performance of the coat, but I think you will hit the wall when temps are in the teens or below. You’ll reach for something heavier, like a mountain parka.
I hope this helps you decide on this item. It’s a 4-star coat.
