This hard-wearing, but soft, fleece-lined heavyweight hooded sweatshirt will keep the cold out and the warmth in year after year.
The Katahdin Iron Works operated in the north woods for much of the 19th century, employing thousands of hardworking Mainers. Inspired by their grit and strength, we designed our Katahdin Iron Works line of rugged work clothes to stand up to all kinds of rough use.
- 100% polyester fleece lining; sleeves are lined with 100% polyester taffeta.
- 91% cotton, 9% polyester.
- Machine wash and dry.
- Triple-needle stitching adds durability.
- Taffeta-lined sleeves for easy on/off.
- Body is lined with soft berber fleece for extra warmth and comfort.
- Specially-designed hood fits well even over a baseball cap.
- Locker loop.
- Zip front.
- Underarm gussets for added mobility.
- Front pockets, one with interior security pocket.
- Ribbed trim at cuffs and hem.

Great go-to winter jacket
Love this jacket - a great “go to” cold weather garment. A light wool layer underneath makes it toasty. This is probably my 3rd version of this over many years. My only complaint is in the past versions the knit cuffs wear out too fast.
But every other garment with knit cuffs usually has the same problem. I’m hoping this new version will have knit cuffs that will withstand the tests of time and use.

Terrible sizing Issue
This sweatshirt seems well made, not sure since I sent it back after trying on. LLBean has an obsession with oversizing ALL their products. Not sure if they want you to wear a jacket under their clothing, but none of their mens shirts or sweatshirts fit normal athletic builds.
This Large sweatshirt is no smaller than a XXL in any other normal brand. Won't be ordering anymore clothing from LLBean. What a shame.

This is my second Iron works hooded sweatshirt. I Just love the fit and the comfort as well as how it keeps me warm but without the bulk of a heavy coat.
I wear them every day around the farm during the winter.

These wear like iron forever!
This is/was my husbands favorite sweat shirt. Last year the grey wasn't available so I got him the blue. He continued to wear his decades old tattered grey one and saved the blue one for best. So when you had grey again this year I got him a replacement. He's still not giving up that old one but at least it's only being worn for yard work and wood cutting. LOL
