Smaller than it looks.
I was slightly disappointed, hoping it was bigger to put in water bottle and a few snacks and my phone. I might be able to put my phone and wallet. The side belt is big enough to hold 40 pounds, but you can only put 1 in.

Too bad
The waist pack you replaced was much better...more features. Typical LL Bean move. You haver a good product and you cheapen it or discontinue it. I have a list, including many hunting clothing items that Beans sold that were awesome. Then, you discontinued.

Solid choice for a quick afternoon hunt
Purchased this last year on sale not knowing exactly what I would use it for as I have the larger ridge runner pack for hunting. Well..I was pleasantly surprised this little pack fit the bill wonderfully for quick hunts where only water/snack/light/drag rope and knife were needed. Off-Balance
I LOVE the durability and size of the pack. I also appreciate that they have an extended belt for larger sizes if needed. But it sits oddly on the female form. Instead of staying flush with the body, the upper half of the pack not directly connected to the pack tips out at an odd angle. I think this would be solved by putting the "belt" part around the middle of the pack or making two sets of belts - one for the top of the pack, and one for the lower part.
