Great 3 season jacket
Bought this one for my son after he saw mine. True to fit , total protection against rain and wind. Perfect for spring, fall then after you remove the warm liner you have a great summer rain coat. I’ve even worn this in the mild winter season we’ve had in Pittsburgh. Definitely a three season if not 4 season jacket.

Trail Model withstood the cold in Yellowstone
The fit is true to size and kept me warm out on the trail even on an unexpectedly cold day in the low 40s on a recent trip to Yellowstone. I highly recommended the Trail Model as a very useful rain protection and layering system.

He loved it!
This jacket was to replace an older. worn out LL Bean rain jacket and it works perfect. Bought it for my husband and he couldn't be happier.

Improved but too tight at hips to be seated
Hugely improved zipper compared to last iteration of 3-in-1 jacket. However, zipper extends too far down, the very hem of the jacket, making it TIGHT around the hips and impossible to wear seated in a car when zipper.

Not waterproof
Good only for a very light mist. Otherwise you will get soaked. LL Bean quality has gone south over the past few years.

Title required
Excellent quality especially compared to Columbia or other competitors. I saw some people giving this negative reviews based on “what it used to be like” and damage that appeared to have been caused by them. After having this for a few weeks, could not be happier.

Big improvement over my last 3 in 1 Bean raincoat
I had been unhappily using a previous vintage 3 in 1 Bean raincoat which had the worst/cheapest zipper in the world. Fiinally sprung for a new one. New zipper is great; huge improvement. However the zipper goes all the way to the very bottom of the jacket and fits so snug that you can't sit down in it (in the car) unless you unzip the jacket all the way. Sort of defeats the purpose. Would benefit from a zipper you can loosen from the bottom as well as from the top. At least the zipper is easy to use and STAYS CLOSED without popping apart in the middle. Good red color. Good warmth of the liner. I simply don't know why Bean couldn't have stuck with the design from 20 years ago which I still have, but it's too dirty to wear away from home. The old 265905. That was perfect.

Rain, rain, bring it on!
This jacket lives up to its billing and keeps you dry, even in the pouring rain. The detachable lining makes it warm enough to wear on mildly chilly days, and I look forward to using it without the liner as a windbreaker as the weather warms up. The liner can function as a sweater (with pockets!) if you don't have one handy.
