Size Large Jacket is Small in the Shoulders
Sort of a girl's jacket. I have and older version of this jacket and the new one is noticeably smaller in the shoulders. Fortunately, I'm now 70 years old and my shoulders have grown smaller, and so the jacket barely fits. But if I was younger, it would bust at the seams. I'm still not sure that it will fit when I wear a sweater or fleece under the jacket.

Great Jacket - No room for shoulders and upper arm
The quality of this jacket is exceptional EXCEPT that - even ordering one size bigger, XXXLT - the shoulders and upper arms are still too small. I'm not that huge in the chest/shoulder area. This is just cut wrong, apparently because they didn't allow extra material, but just sewed in the under-arm zippers into a standard jacket. I cannot wear a fleece under this, which is a huge loss.

Arms & Chest not for XLarge
The arms and chest were too tight: I couldn't wear a fleece under this. This XXL item - and many LLBean large-size items - are made for people with skinny arms, chest and waist. I wear XXL from everybody else and it fits, but with LLBean, I always have to order up a size. Then they charge me to ship back their undersized items.

Solid Rain Jacket
Only used it for a light rain so far and it held up great. Completely waterproof and reasonably breathable considering it was 70 degrees out. Happy with the purchase.

Pathfinder Gore-Tex
Gore Tex three layer is the only rain gear I will even consider. I’m 72 years young, and over the years I have had many rain gear. I have had the pleasure of running across Gore Tex around year 2000. I took this rain gear on a Europe motorcycle trip. It rained a lot, I was sold on this fabric, I still have that jacket and it still keeps me dry.

Excellent hooded rain jacket
This is a high quality rain jacket. The sleeves run a little long but I guess that is to keep the rain from entering at your wrists. It is also a bit roomy. I am 5'9" tall, weigh 155 pounds, and bought size medium. I bought this jacket for golf as well as for hiking. It does not have the flexibility of a high end golf rain jacket. It is a little stiff and makes that crinkly sound when I swing. I am sure I will get many years of service from this jacket.
