Bring back the old design! The new ones SUCK!
Sometimes paying folks lots of money to "improve" upon things just doesn't pan out. Like "New Coke" or "Crystal Pepsi" - remember that marketing geniousness? The new design may be fine for another line but I returned those i bought because of the change from the 6-7 pairs of the original that I had pruchased over the past few years. Stop snatching defeat out of the jaws of success!
FWIW- if you do bring it back, i'd be ok if you left the velcro off one or more of the back pockets. Thanks

New cut too small, doesn't fit well
I lost a lot of weight (yay for me) and ordered new Riverton pants to replace the larger ones I could no longer wear. I am certain of my new waist size, having purchased shorts, etc., and so I ordered two pair in that size. They were entirely too small. I returned them. This happened three times, with me bumping up the waist size each time. The third pair fit my waist properly, but due to the new style/cut, the pants were stretched too tightly over my hips. especially in the front. Those pants were one numerical size smaller than my original Rivertons! They were tight enough to be unwearable, so I returned them. These were great pants before being redesigned. The new pocket configuration is terrible, by the way.

Excellent pants. Practical and good looking.
These pants are great. Very comfortable Side pockets need to be a bit larger is my only complaint, but overall they are very practical and can be dressed up or dressed down. I have them in 3 different colors.
