Unsure of Quality
Purchased this for my teenage grandson while we were at the Freeport store. He likes to fish while in Maine and wanted this pole to add to his collection. It snapped in half within a few days of use. Not misuse since he has had his other poles for years. I returned it to the store and received a new one without any problems.
Again within a few days of use, the tip snapped off. I returned this one to the store and got a credit. I didn’t want to take a chance of getting another one of these poles. He went back to using his older poles.

Doesn’t stand up
Used mine for 10 times or less and started to jam up while reeling in. Took it to their Freeport location and after 1 hour of them taking it apart they said it was due to corrosion. I’ve had cheaper reels I’ve used for years with salt water fishing that held up better then this. Worked well until it didn’t. No incentive to purchase one at Beans again especially now they do not stand behind their products like they used to.

Great fishing rod and reel with braided line
I am really happy with this fishing pole. It's lightweight and the action is very smooth. The braided line is nice too. Overall, this is a great combo and I can't see anyone being disappointed with it.

Ok combo
I want to love it but my reel dose not have an audible sound to the drag. Kind of a bummer when trolling or live lining bait. I don’t know if it’s just the one I got or if they all are like that.
