Zipper chest pockets, essential for travel
The zipper chest pockets are the best of any travel shirts that Bean sells now. They used to have wonderfully well fitted travel shirts with zipper chest pockets, and this is the last remaining style. Please bring back more!
The placement of these zipper pockets allows you to keep identification documents and even your cell phone close at hand and available, not caught under hip straps, or waist packs.
The styling of this shirt is very nice, unlike the standard new version of the tropicwear shirt.
The pro fabric is excellent. I don’t need the stretchy fabric, but I bought this shirt because this was the only version that still had somewhat of a fitted style and, most importantly, zipper chest pockets.

Nearly perfect
This shirt has a lot of strong points. It's thoughtfully designed, well made, flattering in cut, and represents good value for money. The light turquoise colour is pretty without being prissy. Now for the negatives: the buttons are hard to do up and undo. The shirt is too large, which came as a surprise, since I'm reliably a Small in Bean tops. And the prominent logo on the chest is a big turnoff. It's crass, embarrassing, and unsophisticated. It's the main reason I'm returning this otherwise superlative shirt.

Wanted to like this but too boxy
I have several of the regular Tropicwear long-sleeved shirts and they have served me amazingly well on travels locally and around the world. I so wanted to like this one - the additional stretch sounded great! Unfortunately the look was very boxy and unflattering on me. While the regular Tropicwear shirts seem to have a bit of a dart down the sides to flatter my figure, this one did not. Took away my shape entirely. I returned it and bought the regular Tropicwear in another color! It may flatter other figures - I'm quite curvy with wide hips and a narrow waist, but if you are more of a consistent width, this shirt might flatter you better!
