The original fisherman's sweaters of the Aran Islands were knit with designs that told stories of a rich coastal heritage. From good luck to a plentiful catch, special sentiments were represented in each and every stitch. Too cute
So nice! Fit is true to size, I ordered my regular size LP and the arm length was perfect. It is a shorter sweater but still covers enough for a 60+ lady. Fabric feels nice. Have not worn or washed yet since weather has been warmer. I ordered the lobster and tree design and love everything about it….you wil too.

Unique sweater
This is an unusual pattern for a fairisle sweater. I’m a collector of sweaters and do not buy a new one unless it is different. The fit is perfect. I also bought the “Maine” fairisle and it is great as well.

Boot lover’s sweater
I bought the Bean boot sweater (I love boots); I am 5’4”, 140lb and got the large. I washed and dried it before I wore it, cold water so it wouldn’t bleed, and it came out great, and softer, and I don’t think it shrank. I’m not a fan of the mock-neck because I think it lays/stands awkwardly, so I stitched the collar down. I’m a Michigander and just wore it to Maine and New Hampshire to visit a friend, and got so many compliments, in fact I saw LOTS of Bean fans walking around! I bought it mostly with my Bean bucks, so the price wasn’t an issue, but I love this sweater so much that I would pay the full price anyway! Please make more of these, Bean!!! Like, in a moose or bear, or anchor? Sailboat?

Love It!
Love It! I have received many compliments wearing this sweater. It is warm, and is generous in sizing. I usually find LLBean women’s clothing to run small. This was a perfect fit for me. I bought a L because I like oversized fit, especially in bulky knits. It’s a winner! PS. I bought the lobster/pine tree sweater.

Great sweater, we need tall sizes though!
This sweater is great. Because of the pattern there are holes - so if you want to wear this in really cold weather you'll need a long-sleeve shirt layered underneath. I live in the PNW so it's actually perfect for our weather. Based on size chart I should be a L, but since I'm 5/9 I defaulted to an XL so the sleeves would be long enough - I'm glad I did. The sweater itself is a bit large in the body, but the sleeves and overall length fits well for us tall ladies. My only improvement would be for tall options!

Oatmeal Floral Sweater
The Oatmeal Floral Sweater is absolutely gorgeous. Heavy cotton weight, beautiful pattern and a classic style. So thankful to have found this sweater that is soft, 100% cotton and not itchy. I purchased the Medium and for reference: 5'7", 120 lbs, slim build with long arms. I could have easily gotten the Small but I kind of love the slightly looser fit of the medium. Plenty of length in the sleeves/arms (which is so rare for me) and it even comes to almost the area of the top part of the pocket on the back of my jeans - a wonderful sweater length! Love this sweater!

I love these sweaters!
I have all four variations of this sweater and love them all. They are warm and very cozy.
I especially like that they are cotton, not a fan of wool, or synthetics. I purchased the newest variation with the green trees and it's beautiful. I get loads of compliments whenever I wear one of the sweaters. I'm technically petite but I purchased a regular size because I like my cardigans to be a bit bigger with longer sleeves.
