luminous watch, good looking, crystal cracks
My favorite L.L. Bean watch of many years was stolen in a home invasion robbery. I immediately ordered a new Casco Bay Field Watch June 15th, 2024. Loved it. It is now September 27th and the crystal cracked as I was sitting in my chair?? I will call L.L. Bean in the morning an ask what I can do about it. Very disappointed.

Excellent Watch
This watch is terrific. I have several watches and this one is now my “ go to”one. It keeps excellent time, is comfortable to wear and is a piece of cake to see in the dark. It even came with 2 straps ( cloth and leather). All in all I am very satisfied with this purchase!

Well made watch. I also like the changeable bands.
Bought this watch to replace a Bean field watch I had bought back in the early 90s. It still works fine, but the tritium illumination is spent. This is a good watch, works fine and the tritium dial is bright. The only gripe I have is not with this watch; it is just that Bean doesn't still carry the one I bought before. It is a little smaller, with a 38 mm case and I would have bought another one in a heartbeat.

My 3rd LL Bean watch . Flawless , keeps perfect time . The only thing that could stop it was a car running over it . First one I lost canoeing .

Can not recommend
Unfortunately, I am unable to recommend this watch. I have had three of this watch and the crystal on all three broke after about six months of daily use. This is very unusual for L.L. Bean products. It keeps time very well and I really liked the bands, but the crystal is a big issue.

A Worthwhile Timepiece
I haven’t worn a watch in years. I do have a few in my drawer and one of the best that is 25 years old, has tritium markers on the face. Even in the total darkness, you can easily tell the time. I have kept my eyes open for a new watch for some time and found this one. While a 40 mm watch is a little big for my wrist, overall I am extremely pleased with my purchase. It is Swiss made and exudes quality. I also like the screw down crown which you usually only find on watches costing much more. Now at 72 years old, I won’t be wearing this watch to work, but it is a fine watch for casual or formal wear. I expect to get exceptional value and would recommend that you check it out.

Perfect Field Watch
I bought this watch in an LL Bean retail store. It’s been flawless. Keeps time as well as my Tissott. I love both the leather and the super tough nylon bands. The mineral crystal has not a single scratch. The steel case also maintains its matte sand-blasted finish without defects. I wear this watch for work and play -hiking, biking and water sports. I have also owned several Timex Expedition watches. While stylish they are slightly better than disposable which is what you’d expect for only $50. No comparison. The LL bean watch is far superior in every respect and I believe is a very good value when other nicer field watches often cost two or three limes as much. It’s a great watch.
