My new favorite jacket
Perfect jacket for all year round weather in Northern California. It’s well made and has a casual style that I like. I’m 5’10” and 195lbs. I’m normally a medium in LL Bean clothes (typically a large in other brands), but I went with a large after reading other reviews. Large was the right choice.

Review
I purchased black, got dark blue jacket instead. Deceptive picture, advertisement. You could have opt for regular packaging, wrinkling the jacket in compact one instead. Disappointing. I am ordering from you since mid 90s but I do not recognize today's LLBean. Cold weather will tell insulation, warmth and comfort tale.

Great Fall Jacket
The jacket is lovely. It is everything as advertised. My problem with this garment is it’s too heavy. I like the length although it is more than I need. I want a summer weight jacket to wear on cool Texas days and this jacket is not that.

Unmatched Durability and Longevity
Where do I begin? I bought this jacket (in the brown color, which looks the same as advertised) at the beginning of my senior year of highschool. I'm now a junior in college. Though I didn't wear it too frequently at first, I've worn this jacket at least 5 times a week (often more) without fail for the past 2 years straight. It has kept me warm down to around 35 F by itself, and toasty down to 20-15 with nothing but an average hoodie layered underneath, but is light enough to wear in up to 80 degrees comfortably. It's water-resistant to the point of approaching waterproof; though the external pockets will get wet on the inside, my torso and arms will stay completely dry, even in a downpour. It looks good. It has deceptively large pockets. The breast pocket in particular has much more capacity then you'd expect, and I've fit an entire metal water bottle into the waist pockets on multiple occasions. The canvas exterior is thick and rugged, and it's allowed me to walk straight through thorn bushes unfazed. After three and a half years of near-constant year-round use, rain snow and shine, nothing has broken, frayed, or ripped. Even the zipper is still on. It's easily one of the best pieces of clothing I've ever owned, and unless LL Bean changes up something with the manufacturing, I would heartily recommend this coat to anyone that likes how it looks or is looking for a reliable piece of outerwear.

Get one!
Good quality jacket. Slightly smaller fit than other Tall Medium sweaters but still works great. Good weight for those 40-60 degree days, and can easily layer for extra warmth. Outside of the jacket is durable and good for blocking wind and rain.

Rugged jacket that meets the challlenge of Maine
My previous "utility jacket" wasn't worn out but my wife said its color was wrong for me, so I bowed my head and agreed to get a new one--in black, her favorite color until they invent something darker. This jacket is just what I need: sturdy, well made, and warm, which enough pockets for my needs. Only improvement I would suggest is a "pen" feature on the breast pocket so that one can easily reach a pen stowed in the pocket.

Very Well Designed
Fits him perfectly! He’s 6’ with an ample stomach. Usually wears X-Large but wasn’t available in this size. Took a chance with the XX-Large and EUREKA! Shoulders AND body fit to a T. This jacket is also really well constructed.

Perfect weight for cold or colder weather
Great fit and it is not too heavy or bulky. Works just fine in all types of weather, and it is quite stylish.
