Lighter weight than denim.
Over several years I've purchased six pairs of these pants in the same style and size (slightly different fabrication) and while generally pleased, I've found that the fit is at best, inconsistent. Some have been a bit loose, while others have been a bit snug. The difference isn't enough to warrant exchanging for a different size, but I'd expect a bit more continuity from L.L.Bean.

Zipper pull broke off first time I wore them
The fit and fabric were great, but the first time I wore them, the zipper pull came right off the top of the zipper, and it could not be reattached. I returned the jeans and did not re-order.

Two Tags Away from a Five
Love the color, love the fit. The only thing that keeps me from rating these pants five stars is the incredibly scratchy tags on the waistband. Used a seam ripper to remove. Ahhh, much better.
