Rated 5 out of 5 by from Grab this boot while you can This boot works well for me as a field boot. It is a light weight boot with a good tread. I'm an older man, and I need a good tread on a boot for sure footing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Avid Hunter I've always wanted one of the boots for hunting and hiking. I tried them with medium and thick socks. It was very comfortable wearing the different weight socks. I wish that I purchased them several years ago. I'm looking forward to wearing them for many years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice boot, run large . Hard to find a kangaroo leather boot these days, miss my ol'e Brownings. These are good quality boots, comfortable and fit well. Like many others have stated they run large, I sent my first pair back and ended up with a full size smaller from a 10 to a 9 and they fit great now.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent boots I bought these boots a few months ago because I was tired of hiking boots delaminating after a few months. I was uncertain about the height of the boots and the weight considering I was planning to wear them backpacking, but I am extremely happy I bought these. The slight weight delta over my the Keens I bought the last few times is well worth the improved durability, water resistance and the fact they haven't shrank which has happened several time in boots I purchased with a Gore-Tex type layer. I've worn these to work, backpacking and hiking in warm months and in knee deep snow and my feet have been comfortable in all cases. The toe area also has lots of room like Keen boots. When these wear out, if they ever do, I'll look at getting them re-soled because these boots do have stitched on soles, or I'll certainly buy another pair like them. They're a bit more pricey than I usually pay for a pair of boots, but they have already outlived my last two pair of Keens and Merrell's.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great boot, but one fatal flaw I have almost 12 months of daily (8 -10 hrs a day on my feet at work, and on daily trail hikes with the dog) use on my pair. They are about the most comfortable boot I’ve owned. The leather is tough, the tread is equivalent to a good All Terrain tire on your truck. No, not waterproof, but really, nothing short of rubber is actually waterproof. Not a problem for me. I had to replace the insoles and laces at about 10 months. When I fist got them I thought that the fabric on the interior seemed too loose and too light-weight, and indeed, the fabric at the heel has torn, making it impossible to get them on without a shoe horn to smooth the way. This is a real problem, and based on other reviews, I’m not the only one. A heavier, tighter Cambrelle lining would be preferable. If not for this significant problem, I’d buy another pair without hesitation.
