These boots were super comfortable but the tread wore out quickly and the leather is super thin and even after regular treatment with SnoSeal, split and failed. I expected a LOT MORE for a $200+ boot.

They are super comfortable right out of the box, kept my feet warm and dry during my SD pheasant hunt this year, and able to be resoled when they wear down. Perfection.

These boots didn’t need any breaking in at all and were like walking in a pair that I had walked miles in right out of the box. Wish I had bought them sooner.

It feels like these will work just as long and hard. Warm and comfortable. Great construction. And they even look good. One thing: Although I'm sure I'll learn to appreciate them, I'm still getting used to the lacing hooks.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Marc from Leaking after two years of moderate use I really liked these boots at first. They're a little heavy, but the tread has excellent traction and that was important to me. Unfortuately both boots are leaking after two years of moderate (at most) use. Highly disappointed. The quality of L.L. Bean products has really gone south in recent years. They seem to be much more focused on selling cheap importated apparel at high margins rather than quality outdoors products.
