oops it ripped
Quality not as expected, it was used for a 6year old and after 3 days of use the strap started tearing. Backpack was lightly loaded, and should not have shown such wear after three days. It has been sent back for a replacement and I am hoping it will get thru a 3 day trip run. The only other disappoint, is that when quality is lacking LL Bean charges you shipping to send it back.

Great backpack for kids!
We purchased this backpack for our granddaughter and she LOVES it! To have a backpack that lasts is important today for kids and parents. It holds all of the things she needs for school with extra room! The fact her lunchbox clips on the outside is a plus. It is well made and she is happy with it! We would purchase it again!

I have been buying llbean backpacks since my children were little. Now I am buying them for my grandchildren. They are well made, durable, nice looking, and they hold up with everyday use. Worth the investment and the recipient will love it!

Great quality and durable
A durable, quality product expected from LL Bean! The pink rainbow tie dye was purhased for my 7 yr old daughter for school. It is the right size for her now and hopefully will last for several years. My son has had his Explorer backpack 4 years and it has held up great. The straps are troublesome sometimes as they tend to slide off smaller shoulders - a chest strap would be a great addition!

Broken Handle
Bought this book bag to be a diaper bag for my 9 month old. We love the pattern but unfortunately it wasn’t available to exchange. I guess I will just eat the money and send it to a shoe shop to be repaired. We have always used LL Bean so to have this happen 3 weeks after purchasing isn’t good. This bag is only used to carry bottles and diapers.
