Deerskin gloves? Maybe not.
I was given a pair of LL Bean's deerskin gloves a year ago as a holiday gift. They were supple and smooth and smelled like leather. Sadly I lost that pair and quietly ordered a replacement pair of the same LL Bean deerskin gloves. The gloves came and they look the same and fit the same. But the similarities end there. They do not smell like leather, they are not supple like leather, they are not soft like leather, and when I thwack them together they don't sound like leather. I have not taken them in to a leather store for a professional look-see, but I'm pretty sure I didn't get a pair of deerskin leather gloves, but got a fakey knock-off leather-like material instead.
I am not happy with this purchase.
They will keep my hands warmer than no gloves, but I suspect they'll start to peel and degrade after a season of use.

Soft and warm but ripped
Boyfriend loves these gloves, soft and warm, he wears them all the time but the first pair ripped while working outside in the yard so beware of sharp things that will slice them

Soft, comfortable gloves
Great gloves, but could be longer in the fingers even though I got the largest ones you have.

Deerskin Gloves
Light weight and very warm. Only thing i would change is LL bean Logo on the knuckles. Good value though

Lightweight
Gloves are very well made and fit true to size. However the reason for the low rating is because they are advertised as being very warm with fingertips that keep you warm. However I found the complete opposite. Gloves are lightweight and not fit for colder weather and the fingertips get cold very quickly. But if you are looking for a lightweight glove that are very well made then these are for you.

Why is it so hard to find simple leather gloves?
Good fit. Excellent leather shell. Insulation OK. In the deep of winter, they could be a little warmer, but most of the time they're fine.

Low-quality leather
Less than a month of shoveling snow, these are flaking.
