Good wool pants but odd fit
Decent wool pants for the price but very baggy. I got mine tailored, and now I’m very happy with them. The material is pretty rough in there; it might be worth getting the lined ones.

Comfortable and Warm Wool Pants
The Maine Guide Wool Pants are very comfortable and warm. The Comfort-Fit waistband allows for layers of clothing or slight size differences from the available ones. They come with suspender buttons, which is a nice extra feature. The Malone Plaid is a very dark, almost black shade, with just a hint of red tartan striping.

Formerly 5 ⭐️ This version 2 ⭐️
I bought a pair of the newly designed Maine Guide pants and the elastic waist makes them fit larger, the wool seems less tightly woven, and the pants seem thinner than previous versions. I have owned 4 pair of past versions, I have less faith in these but I have found no alternative.

Warm wool
Wool is great for warmth and will keep you warm when wet, especially after you go into a freezing pond after a dog that has broken through the ice.

really thin compared to original Malones
They are less then 1/2 the thickness then the few pares of Malones that I have worn over the last 45 years. The fit with the expandable waste band seems really baggier. Maybe try and to order them with what you would ware in normal jeans. I have been trying to replace my old Malones for 3 years and LL Bean is only one left with anything close.

The perfect wool pants
The Maine Guide Pants are exactly what I was looking for in wool, mid-weight, winter outdoors trousers. The sizing and fit are perfect, and the buttons for suspenders are an added plus. The wool pants are quiet in the woods, drape well, and allow for layering. The quality of the material and the sewing is superb. The pants have kept me comfortable while deer hunting and hiking through a cold December in the Pennsylvania mountains. I'm extremely pleased with this product.

Malone Pants
Their sizing tool was spot on. These pants have a thing in the waistline that stretches making them super comfortable. They are very warm!
