Nice Looking, Foul Smelling
The console arrived promptly, was nicely packaged, and in perfect condition. Assembly was a breeze-just screw in a dozen or so bolts, flip the piece upright, and voila, done. The piece is sturdy and attractive--looks just like the photo on the website.
Now the downside: the off-gassing is horrific. Plan for open windows during assembly and a few days after. I put this in my bedroom and foolishly slept there the day of assembly (with all the windows open and an overhead fan going). Big mistake. My eyes stung, my nose and throat burned, and I got a headache. It's that bad.
I do like the appearance of the console, and it seems well-made. Had it not been for the odor, I would have given a five-star rating. As it is, I've given four stars on the assumption that the smell will fade in time.

A charming stinker
This is a great piece of furniture, easy to assemble and quite functional. All to the good, though as others have noted in this line of furniture, the off-gassing is incredible. Fortunately, the chemical odor cleared after a couple of weeks of open windows.

Fabulous Piece
Using this as a living room 'entertainment' console, all electronics fit nicely, perfect size for my space! It was so easy to put together and is very solid, very nice finish. Just purchased two matching 2-shelf units for either side, can't wait to get them!

Attractive, easy assembly; quality furniture
I find LLBean furniture to be attractive and substantial. It is easy to assemble: directions are clear and everything goes together quickly and cleanly.
I am using the storage console as a TV stand; it is quite attractive as such with storage for books, etc.
I highly recommend this item.

Simply beautiful
The Painted Farmhouse arrived safely with no dents or scratches. The packaging was beyond belief, there is no chance for damage because of the superior packaging. The assembly instructions are simple and clearly written. The console is beautifully made, sturdy, and well supported at the corners. We love the simplicity of this console and the detailed side panels. We are using it in a tiny den/tv room. We love it.
