Measure carefully!
I thought I knew what the size was without measuring but it is much smaller than I had thought. It is well made, easy to assemble but small. I never would have paid that price if I had realized that. My bad.

Bean furniture well-made & reliable
I'm thrilled with my new bookcase. It's well-made and easy to assemble. I have many pieces of LL Bean furniture, some nearly 20 years old, and all in exceptional condition. One can't go wrong when purchasing LL Bean furniture!

It's a bookshelf
It's a bookshelf. Pretty straightforward. Looks nice, easy to assemble. I'd like to see LLB find a way to ship it using less plastic protective material. It's not recyclable and it's hard to even get rid of.

one shelf cut wrong but otherwise great
I love the bookcase, but one of the shelves didn't fit the slot because a corner indent hadn't been cut out. I paid my handyman to do it (it was quick) rather than call and ask for a new shelf. Hence quality control could be improved before shipping. But it's a wonderful size, solid and sweet. I have one in my bedroom and one in my family room for framed photos and knick knacks.
