This price for particle board?
You have got to be kidding me. Who sells particle board furniture on L.L. Bean? For this price you should at least get paint-grade solid lumber, if not veneer grade hardwood. Don't support particle board products, hidden behind the term "manufactured lumber." Buy solid (real) wood. It'll last. Particle board will swell at the first sign of a humid season, and it won't shrink back to normal. When it swells, the corners open up to reveal the dark color of the particle board underneath the paint. L.L. Bean, please sell real wood only.

Farmhouse Two Drawer Side Table
I bought two of these for bedside tables. They are tall enough for our overly tall bed. They are well made and easy to assemble. They arrived well packaged and in good condition. It is nice to have a choice with the color of the knob, and the drawers slide very smoothly. Great purchase.

Fits my "problem" spot
This handy little side table fits perfectly in a corner of my kitchen/eating area. I had looked off and on for years before this one caught my eye. Its height keeps it just below the chair rail and it is small enough not to impede seating at the table while large enough to hold items like napkins, place mats (folded) for easy access. Wish it came in some soft colors, but the white finish fits in and appears durable enough to handle things like wet glasses that might occasionally be placed on it by diners or a plant that gets over-watered by helpful grandchildren.. The open bottom area is currently housing "most used" cookbooks for easy access. A handy little table that can fit in any problem corner. Thanks, L.L. Bean!Granny

Great Little Night Stand
I purchased two of the off-white Painted Farmhouse Two-Drawer Side Tables. They are perfect for our needs - very easy to assemble and look great. The finish is very clean looking and the piece is large enough to hold a full-size lamp, but small enough to fit nicely next to the bed. Drawers work very smoothly and the bottom shelf is a great spot for books or collectibles.

Poorly constructed
We ordered two of these. When we opened the box, the drawers was in pieces. Someone, somewhere had dropped the boxes resulting in shattered drawers. We sent them back and ordered two more from a different warehouse. Those had also been dropped and the drawers were shattered. The design is poor. The screws used in construction are far too short to hold the boards together. The drawer face is also made with medium density fiberboard, which doesn't have the strength to stand up to dropping or tossing of the boxes. We returned those for a refund, which is a shame, because they looked like solid pieces.
Also, the night stands stink! You can smell the paint through the box, before you even open it. Probably would need a week to off-gas.

issue with drawers
Nightstand is easy to assemble and overall, I like it. Downside is the drawers are not a perfect fit with gap on upper drawer right side and gap left side bottom drawer.
