Looks good, can’t perform
Just arrived and opened up the box to find it half open and some type of dirt all in and around the item. Immediately tried the chronograph feature and it doesn’t even work correctly: it stops randomly and if barely shake my wrist with it on it stops the timer. What a shame because it looks really good but for the price and a basic feature which I needed doesn’t work, i am immediately returning it.

Love this watch
Admittedly, I’ve owned the watch for a week, so I can’t speak to the durability. The look and feel is high quality. The “mystique” of the Bean field watch is felt while wearing it, especially at our Maine cabin. The Chronograph works really well and while the band is stiff, I personally like the strength and fabric. It’s the perfect outdoor watch!

My wife purchased this watch for me in August of 2019. I wear it every day and often use the chronograph features to time my work outs, errands etc. The time keeping is precise. I appreciate the grommets on the nylon band. I always felt this watch was durable and very high quality. A couple days ago the seconds hand detached from the dial. See photo. I am going to send this to the llbean repair shop to see if there is anything they can do to help me. I’ve had this watch for about 2 and half years and was hoping to get more use out of it.

Watch not working.
Watch was not working when received. I thought battery was dead. Had this replaced and still did not work. Two other field watches that were bought had to be returned within a month because of crack in crystal. Normal use without trauma. When I looked at reviews this has happened to others. I am sure that LLBean which I love should not be selling present watches.

Sharp watch
I bought this watch because I wanted something that would work equally well for casual wear, as well as a camping trip. Having the two straps makes it even more versatile. I like the typeface used on the numbers, making it easy to read. The case itself has a nice weight to it, clearly well made but not too big. The hour and minute hand glow in the dark. I also like that the canvas strap has the buckle holes reinforced with metal grommets, helping to prevent deterioration of the strap. Before I bought this watch I researched products from similar competitors and there were a few less expensive options but anything I found did not have as many nice features as this watch, and most were made in Japan. This watch is a nice product and Swiss made. You get what you pay for. Very pleased with this purchase.

Field watch
As an owner of several fine seriously overpriced Swiss watches I fine this watch wonderful. It's comfortable, accurate and versatile. Nice to have a finely made watch that is rugged enough to tolerate outdoor activities such as surf fishing.
