A Rain Shell Unlike Any Other
There is literally nothing like this rain shell currently available. Competitors offer similar claims, but only with their own proprietary rain materials/treatments - never with the promise and performance of GoreTex. This is a standout piece of rainwear - congratulations L.L. Bean!

Decent Price For Actual Gore-Tex
Fabric is extremely stiff is crunchy. One of the plastic teeth in the zipper was not molded correctly. Should’ve been caught during inspection. Works fine, but I expect better quality control for the price. I appreciate that you offer tall sizes.

Great shell
Bought this to be a shell over layering. I am only 5’9” 150 lbs, the medium is large but throw a fleece or down layer under it and it is perfect. Great hood. Build quality is excellent. Would buy again

AWESOME
I just purchased after looking for a quality hardshell for over a month. This is 3L Goretex at $300 - most comparable shells go for $450. I am 165, 5'10" and purchased the medium which is large BUT I live in the great white north and wear up to 3 layers underneath which this medium accommodates perfectly. This is a 4-season jacket and could not be more pleased. It also looks great.

Waterproof but fit may be an issue
So far I wore this jacket in a rain and freezing rain and it kept me completely dry - water beaded up on the shell. I also wore this as an outer layer while Nordic skiing. It blocked the wind well enough and the hood was very adjustable to get a good fit. I didn’t give this a higher rating because of the slightly fitted cut. Without a two way zipper the small was too snug around my waist over a mid layer even though I had room in the chest and shoulders. I exchanged for a medium so that I can layer it for 3 seasons but it’s a bit roomy. I feel that a standard fit with a two way zipper would be ideal. Otherwise I’m satisfied with the waterproof and quality construction of the jacket.

Great Quality
Awesome Fit Great Quality got the Iron color Size L. I am almost 6 foot 2 inches and 195 pounds. I got a Large size. The Large fits like an XL. Remember it's only a shell so no insulation. It's also crunchy sound because of the Gore Tex. But the fit and look is amazing.

Good, but not what I need
I returned this jacket, b/c it wasn't what I was looking for, but it's good quality. As a rain jacket, it would be top shelf. However, it has no liner layer, between you and the rain-proof outer shell, so I think it would be uncomfortable if it's not really cold out. I was looking for a versatile light jacket, but this is really a single function item.
