I do not want to be a walking advertisement
I wanted to like this jacket - the color is cheerful. It is longer and the hood fits closely, so better coverage. But as others have mentioned it is very noisy, the pit zips are too small, and the large stamped llbean trademark on the chest is ugly. Just returned it. I’ll stick with my 15 year old black Bean Goretex Pro-shell.

Excellent quality
This is my first Gore-Tex jacket purchase from L.L.Bean. The price is friendlier than other trendier brands. The lilac color exudes a nice femine vibe. Jacket is light weight and its fitting gives a humble silhouette.

Great jacket for rainy season in Ecuador

Search for the perfect shell
As a life long skier with privilege to ski Saddleback all season, I have been on the hunt for the perfect layering shell. It had to be wind proof, water proof, light weight, durable, have the right fit to layer as needed, plenty of easy zipper pockets, hood to fit ski helmet and flattering style. This Pathfinder GORE-TEX Shell is a winner! The only thing I would have added is a zipper pocket on the left sleeve for a ski pass.

New and Improved
I have 2 of the older pathfinder jackets and this one has better zippers, an additional inner chest pocket, roomier neck when fully zipped, the hood fits over a ski helmet and the length is longer with butt coverage. Haven't tested it out in rain yet -that's why only 4 stars. Will update after rain test. The small fits well over a down jacket. I like the length but the
sleeves are too long.
