Color alert
I love this dress style, as it is an easy, flattering fit on me. I have always admired the dot pattern and was excited to order the "classic navy dot." Upon receiving it, I was disappointed to see that the dots are a sort of ecru rather than a true white, and the overall look lacks the crispness of a bright white against the navy background. A "meh" look, in my opinion.
As there is nothing in the description to indicate what color the dots are, I thought I would alert anyone expecting a snazzy (and, to me, classic) contrast of navy and white.

Not My First, And Not My Last!
The perfect dress! Elegant, flowing, but yet, shaping the body where it needs to shape it, soft and comfortable fabric that can look a notch dressy when paired with a pretty fancy cardigan. Love the unusual color and print!

Shrinks when washed
This is a very cute and flattering dress and a nice light weight for Houston summers. However, as other reviewers have mentioned, you need to wear a tank or slip under it or pin or sew it shut at the neckline as it is very revealing. My biggest complaint however is that it shrank nearly 5 inches when I washed it. When I bought it, it was mid-calf length on me. I washed it in cold water and hung it to dry and now it is just below my knees. I've had a few llbean tops do the same thing to me (I wound up donating them as they were too short to wear) so this is something to be aware of if you are looking for a more modest dress. I prefer longer dresses but I will keep this one to wear around the house since it is so cute and comfortable, but it is disappointing as I would like to wear it out.

Wonderfully surprised
Super soft, PERFECT length, nice style. Can be casual or dressed up. Retired but like summer dresses that go for travel, mass, or out with friends. Would by another but this was only pattern I liked.

Super easy!
I have several of these dresses spanning many years of purchases and they wash well and pack easily. At 5’3 a petite XS falls just below my knee (but the v-neck requires a stitch so a bra doesn’t show). The last couple iterations of this dress feel like the fabric is thinner, but sadly that seems to be the new norm. Still a solid purchase but FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, LL BEAN, PLEASE MAKE IT IN SOME ACTUAL FUN AND CONTEMPORARY PRINTS! Current selection is not it.
