Best winter boots
I have had these boots for nearly six years and have thoroughly tested them in western New York. They are worth every penny. Somehow they hardly show any wear at all. I have a very wide foot and finding shoes that fit correctly has always been a challenge. I am able to wear these for long periods of time and they’re still very comfortable.

A painful experience
Alas, this pair of Bean boots didn't work for me.
I'd had another pair like them, so I knew they weren't designed for cold or snow, but they were very good for walking the dogs on plowed surfaces. Their virtue for me was that the heel was narrow enough that my socks didn't end up in the toes of my boots. My first pair began to rub my heels, and I thought I had worn down the shearling to the point where it was no longer providing padding. It turns out that wasn't the problem. The stitching Bean's is using now (I had had the first pair resoled, and then they hurt) is very rough and extremely painful. I tried every pair of socks I own, but I'd come home from walks with raw patches on my heels. I returned them, and Bean's was good about refunding my money.

LOVE THESE!!! Warmest Boots Ever
Like the website suggests, these boots run long lenth-wise. But note that I think they run narrow in width. I'm an average US womens size 8 to 8.5 and I ended up with a 7.5 wide in this boot. I also bought a shearling insole to place inside. I love that they have a few extra eye holes in the tongue to keep it in place. They don't come with directions but you can use them to keep the laces loose to slip on quickly, or lace them up tighter for more stability. Once I found the correct size, I really love these boots! We have had a really cold and snowy winter so far and these boot keep my feet warm and cozy.

Practical and sturdy
I live at 5000 in the Rocky Mountains. These are my "go-to" boots for anything outdoors in the winter. They keep my feet warm and dry. Great for snowshoeing and grocery shopping. The traction is very good, unless it is a sheet of ice -- and then nothing helps but cleats!

Great Boots, Just Need Longer Laces
Great boots so far! My feet are warm and dry. Would have been 5 stars if the laces were longer. If you want to lace the boots all they way to the top rather than folding them down, you will need longer laces.

Good boots in my size at last
Small feet. Very comfortable. Warm. Please carry more clothing fir small people. I wear size zero or XXX small. Love your merchandise but rarely get a fit. There are many more like me who search for outdoor styles.
